The Custom Fragrance Experience

Have you ever dreamed of creating a fragrance that’s truly your own? One that reflects your personality, your mood, and your story? Your custom scent can be as bold, soft, or unforgettable as you want it to be. At Signature Scents by Hand, we make that possible, and you can do it all remotely, from the comfort of your home.
You might be wondering: How can I customize a fragrance without smelling it first? We’ve thought of that too. That’s why we’ve created a simple, seamless, and guided process that allows you to craft your perfect scent in five easy steps.
Step 1: Find Your Scent
It all begins with our “Find Your Scent” questionnaire. This is where we gather all the details that matter. Whether the fragrance is for you or a gift, how you want to feel when wearing it, notes you love (or want to avoid), and any scent references you’d like us to draw inspiration from. This information helps your perfumist fully understand the tone and vision behind your fragrance.
Within 72 hours, your perfumist will email you three custom fragrance options, each complete with detailed notes.
Step 2: Select Your Samples
Next, you’ll choose which samples you’d like to try. You can select one or all three. Sample creation takes approximately 14 days, allowing your perfumist time to carefully craft each option.
Step 3: Experience Your Scent
Once your samples arrive, it’s time to truly live with them. Wear them as often as you like. Pay attention to how the fragrance develops throughout the day, especially during the dry-down period. This is your opportunity to reflect. Does anything need adjusting? Your perfumist is always available to make changes based on your feedback. Any requested revisions will be implemented, and a new set of samples will be shipped free of charge. Additional revisions after that may require an added fee.
Step 4: Finalize & Design
When you’ve confirmed your final scent, you’ll move forward with the presentation. You’ll receive a brochure of bottle options and have the opportunity to create a custom label for your fragrance. Our in-house graphic designer will work with you to bring your vision to life, ensuring the label complements your chosen bottle beautifully.
Step 5: Receive Your Custom Fragrance
Once everything is approved, your custom fragrance will be finalized and packaged. Within 2–4 weeks, you’ll receive your personalized scent, bottled, labeled, and ready to be worn or gifted.
